Castlebury
Ventures
A software company of one. Two products, designed, built and shipped by the same person.
Statement
A company small enough to finish what it starts, and structured so that it has to.
A letter
Castlebury Ventures is one person. There is no team page because there is no team, and no roadmap because the roadmap is whatever I can finish properly.
Two products exist so far. Conspectus Intelligence reads what named institutions are saying about a financial topic and publishes how the argument actually splits. Nom Nom plans a household's meals and writes its shopping list. They have almost nothing in common except the standard applied to them: shipped when they are finished, and maintained afterwards.
I would rather run two things that work than six that are nearly ready. If a third arrives, it will be because the first two stopped needing the attention.

Meal planning for people who cook.
One cookbook the whole household shares — filled from a link, a friend's code, a library of 1,200, or a chatbot you point at a photo.
A plan with no days, no slots and no times — just what you intend to cook.
The shopping list computes itself, summed across every meal and sorted the way your shop is laid out.
Claude or ChatGPT can read and change your cookbook, plan and list, if you connect them.
Nutrition you can look up and allergen marks you can spot — nothing totalled, tracked or scored.
-
Where consensus forms — and where it breaks down.
Reads what central banks, research desks and named analysts are actually saying about a financial topic.
Publishes each topic three ways — the bullish, neutral and bearish readings, kept separate on purpose.
Every claim traces to a named, dated source you can open.
A second pass argues against each draft; briefs that fail the audit never publish.
Editorial journalism for portfolio managers, analysts and allocators — not investment advice.
